INDICATIONS
Derm Stop is a lotion made from benzyl benzoate, principle useful in the treatment of horses and ponies, affected by dermatitis Summer Relapsing (DER). This skin disorder, which typically affects horses is Seasonal and Allergic and is characterized by the appearance of extremely itchy lesions, resulting from the bite of insects, much like midges, Culicoides genus. In Italy the events, related to the disease, are commonly referred to as "heat of the horse" or "scab summer", while in the Anglo-Saxon terms are defined "sweet itch". The most affected areas are the head, the withers, the shoulders, the back, the chest, the abdominal region and the base of the tail. The lesions are typical of allergic reaction: initially form small but very itchy papules, which induce the horse to scratch; because of this self trauma the injuries worsen, hesitating in areas of alopecia or broken hairs, along with bruises and scabs, which are prone to secondary bacterial infections. The disease spreads mainly in spring and slowly subsides in the fall, but every year is relapsing with symptom pictures more and more accentuated. To make a  Prophylaxis in horses susceptible to DER, you may want to start applying the product in the spring before the appearance of symptoms, continued treatment until late summer.

CHARACTERISTICS OF ACTIVE
The benzyl benzoate is a molecule used in the form of gels and emulsions in the medical field in the treatment of scabies, referred to kill the mite. The benzyl benzoate in DER horse helps reduce irritation in the affected areas, to control bacterial infections and keep insects away, the starting point in controlling the disease.

METHOD OF USE

Shake the bottle before use. Bring rubber gloves and pour in the palm of his hand a quantity of product the size of a large walnut. Spread the product on problem areas, massaging vigorously against the grain, so that the product penetrates into the skin. Repeat the treatment 2 times a day during the first week. Gradually reduce the frequency of treatment up to a weekly application.
